Family Centered Treatment clinicians can obtain continuing education credit units (CEUs) towards Licensure, as FCT was recently endorsed as an Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP) through the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. and Affiliates (NBCC). This change will support the ongoing learning and development of credentialed professionals providing FCT, and recognizes the excellent quality of the FCT training program curriculum.

NBCC Approved

Clinicians participating in the FCT training process are eligible for continuing education credits.

The Family Centered Treatment Foundation, Inc. has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6812. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Family Centered Treatment Foundation, Inc. is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.

I am very pleased to be able to offer CEUs to all FCT Practitioners, Trainers, and Supervisors. Speaking as one of the founders and an early front line staff member, I know that learning never ends. FCT has always been an evolutionary model. We are constantly adding new and more effective interventions. This happens because the families that we serve and the FCT staff in the field never stop teaching us how to improve.

Wheels of Change

Family Centered Treatment® is taught to staff through an intensive training and orientation curriculum entitled “Wheels of Change©.” This dynamic education program includes tools and resources tailored to various learning styles and clinical backgrounds.

In 2008, the Wheels of Change training manual was digitalized as part of an interactive online learning platform. Currently, the WOC is maintained by the FCT Foundation and hosted by Mindflash.
