National Leader, The Family Centered Treatment Foundation announces $11m Implementation Funding from the State of Arkansas Division of Aging, Adult & Behavioral Health Services (DHS)
Charlotte, NC (April 1, 2024) – The Family Centered Treatment Foundation (FCTF) was granted $11m in funding from the State of Arkansas DHS. The $11m will fund a statewide collaboration focusing on training, supervision, research, and fidelity to the Family Centered Treatment (FCT) model throughout the state.
FCT is an evidence-based model providing long-term stabilization services to families with youth who are or are likely to become involved in the child welfare, behavioral/mental health or juvenile justice systems. FCT aims to strengthen families and prevent unnecessary removal from home.
The primary purpose of the Arkansas Project is to increase access to FCT services across Arkansas. The Family Centered Treatment Foundation expects to use this award to:
grow and expand the intensive in-home treatment components of FCT,
increase the number of licensed agencies implementing FCT to improve outcomes for families who have experienced complex trauma, and
enable thousands of youths and families to obtain evidence-based treatment that focuses on all members of the family.
Additionally, FCTF will utilize the funding from this grant to implement all elements of the FCT model including FCT Readiness Assessments®, Training, Community Education & Public Awareness, Continuous Quality Improvement, Workforce Development, State and Local Culture Impact, Sustainability Planning, and Outcome Evaluation.

The target population for services are families at risk of removal of a member unless intensive services and community resources are provided through a proven evidence-based model. FCT is currently implemented in more than 21 states and is sought after by human services organizations and state health departments across the US.
